Elks Care, Elks Share

With membership of men and women spanning over 2,000 lodges across the country, the BPO Elks are one of the largest and most active fraternal organizations in the world! Committed to the ideals of charity and patriotism, the Elks have disbursed more than 3 billion dollars in cash, goods, and services to the nation’s youth, veterans, the disadvantaged and handicapped, and patriotic and civic programs. Moreover, the Order ranks as one of the largest private providers of college scholarships in the nation.

The foundation of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (a fraternal organization) is laid out in the Elks Mission Statement: “To inculcate* the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share.” * To impress upon the mind of another by frequent instruction or repetition; instill

Our local lodge, Palmdale #2027, adheres to these same principals and is please to welcome new members into our lodge on a regular basis. We invite members of the community to visit and find out more about the world of Elkdom, the charities, our support of Veteran’s and youth and so much more.
